Stay Rooted: Living and working on the historic Tantramar marshes we are able to fully experience the rhythms of the changing seasons while drawing inspiration from the historic landscape from the Bay of Fundy to marshland to the Acadian forest.

April MacKinnon, P.Eng., is an entrepreneur who believes economic success in Atlantic Canada is rooted in people bravely chasing their dreams. In 2006, she founded a natural parenting store "Nurtured Products for Parenting" which began as an e-commerce business-turned-busy retail location in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Anointment began as a soap company selling from the Halifax Farmers Market. Born on the focus of herbal skin care and the benefits for newborns, the company was built on April’s passion of supporting postpartum recovery, perinatal skin care being a large component of that journey.

Today, Anointment can be found in independent lifestyle and baby boutiques, health food and grocery stores from coast to coast in Canada.
